Security
Security guards will be stationed at different posts and will patrol the campout grounds for the duration of the campout. The guards will have Motorola Radios and will be abel to respond effectivly to any problem or emergeny.
Everyone participating in the Campout will be given a color-coded wristband. This must be worn at all times as security will be checking for this. Anyone caught without a wristband or proper credentials will be kicked off the property and/or turned over to the police.
There will be volunteers, staff and crew on the grounds working all night to set-up the festival for the next day.
Designated Areas
Participants will be sleeping in designated areas with designated bathrooms and water areas. Any participants that leave these areas will be treated as trespassers and will be kicked off the property and/or turned over to the police. This is a fundraiser. We don't have time to deal with people that don't take this serious. We will not be lenient when it comes to the safety and security of our participants
Legal
Make sure to download a permission slip if you are under 18 and coming with a group.
One thing that most people do not know is how noisy it is when sleeping in public. For most homeless people this noise comes from cars driving by, random lights shutting off and on, people walking by, screaming shouting fighting. The atmosphere at the CCFTH will be similar. It will not be a peaceful night’s sleep. But that’s ok, because you’re doing this as a sacrifice for the homeless.
Hunger
This is a night of fasting. You will not be allowed to bring food with you.
Prayer Time
We encourage all participants to take personal time to pray and intercede for the homeless. To pray not for your own needs but to focus on the needs of others and to bring them up in prayer.
Personal Hygiene
There will not be showers in the morning. You will have the opportunity to use a bathroom in the morning to change clothes, put on some deodorant, style your hair, brush your teeth
Shaving will not be allowed
Donating
Participants will have the opportunity after the Cardboard Campout to donate a canned food item or their sleeping bag and pillow to the Denver Rescue Mission.
