HOPE
Dave Powers, founder and president of Worship and the Word Movement, the organization which presents Heaven Fest, recently led the entire Heaven Fest Leadership Team in Prayer for the displaced families of Colorado and specifically those affected by the High Park fire, just 15 miles west of where Heaven Fest 2012 will take place. Dave led the Heaven Fest volunteers in a prayer for HOPE to be released.
While the High Park fire continues to smoulder in various locations, it was declared 100% contained on June 30 after burning more than 87,000 acres and destroying 250 homes in a fire that began on June 9 by a lightening strike. The clean-up and recovery process has begun.
We are grateful to announce that The Ranch, Heaven Fest 2012′s location, is totally safe and preparing for Heaven Fest to return for the second year in a row, we don’t want to forget those affected by the fire. We encourage anyone who wants to get involved in supporting the displaced families or helping in the clean-up to visit www.helpcoloradonow.org for information.
Additionally, one of Heaven Fest’s main beneficiaries, Convoy of Hope, has joined with Samaritan’s Purse to bring much-needed disaster relief to victims of the fire. We invite you to connect with the Convoy of Hope team at Heaven Fest in the Experience Hall (in the 1st National Bank Building) on July 28th to get more information on how you can extend long-term help physically, spiritually, or emotionally for the families affected.
Please agree with us in prayer for all those impacted by the Colorado fires and fires along the Rocky Mountain states.
PRAY FOR OUR LAND TO BE HEALED
2 Chronicles 7.14 NIV
“…if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
